Thanks again for the links.and Quadlatte lolįergusonll Nereus fergusonll Just measured my PG279Q and the stand is a little less than 9.5 inches and from back of stand to front edge of monitor is 8 inches. I'd go ASUS again but their quality control seems to be extremely lacking. I automatically get 5% credit on all Amazon purchases so I particularly want to order through there, plus they are very good about returns if there's a problem. Next question - why does the Acer Predator XB271HU have a 1-2 month shipping date from Amazon? lol. actually that's easily solved with some additional 1/2" thick solid wood blocks sandwiched in there. I wonder if my desk is up to the task though, since the stand is not a balanced weight and the desk is not solid timber. Reviews are good, and there's a lot of reviews there.
The C-clamp / grommet mounting might do the trick though, stand V001-C looks like the go, and for just $25 if it doesn't work out, no big deal.
the smallest was 10.5" which was stand V001-F - still too deep for my liking. Thanks for all the recommendations and links! Looked at Vivo single desktop stands, most are 12" deep, some even more lol.
